Deutsche Grammatik Übungen Niveau A1+A2

Deutsche Grammatik Übungen Niveau A1+A2 is a German grammar exercise book for the elementary levels: the foundations of the language — verbs, cases, sentence structure, everyday tenses — practised in hundreds of graded exercises with full solutions.

Beginners rarely fail German for lack of vocabulary; they fail on the machinery — the ending forgotten, the verb in the wrong place, the case that changes the meaning. Exercises are how the machinery is installed: seen once in a rule, then used fifty times until it runs by itself.

It is made for A1 and A2 learners in courses and self-study, teachers of beginner classes, and anyone whose elementary grammar needs to become reliable before the intermediate levels build on it.

Deutsche Grammatik Übungen Niveau A1+A2 cover

Every grammar coursebook explains; this is the book that practises. Organised by the elementary syllabus itself, it walks the A1–A2 system in teachable order: the present tense and its irregular citizens, separable verbs and the sentence bracket they create, the accusative and dative in their daily territory, possessives and pronouns, the perfect tense for talking about yesterday, modal verbs for the language of wanting and mustering, questions, negatives, comparatives, and the connectors that let two simple sentences become one real one. Each topic’s exercises climb honestly — form first (complete the ending, choose the case), then pattern (build the sentence), then use (answer about your own life) — so the learner is never asked to produce what they have not yet rehearsed. Full solutions close every section, which makes the book a self-study instrument as much as a classroom one: attempt, check, understand, retry. Teachers mine it for homework, revision weeks and the remedial lesson; self-studiers run it beside any course as the practice engine; and learners approaching the A2 examination use its final sections as a diagnostic — whatever still fails there is exactly what to revise.

About This Book

This is an elementary German grammar exercise book for levels A1 and A2: the complete beginner system practised in graded exercises — verbs, cases, sentence structure, the perfect tense and modal verbs — with full solutions throughout.

What Learners Will Train

Verbs and the Sentence Bracket

Present-tense conjugation (regular, irregular, separable), verb position in statements and questions, and the bracket that organises every German main clause — drilled until word order is instinct.

Cases in Daily Territory

Nominative, accusative and dative with their articles, pronouns and prepositions, practised in the situations that own them: giving, showing, buying, helping, going.

Talking About Time and Intent

The perfect tense for the past, modal verbs for ability, permission and duty, comparatives for opinions — the elementary speaker’s complete toolkit.

Key Features

The graded climb within every topic is the feature — form, pattern, then free use — so practice never outruns preparation. The complete solutions are the second, making solo study honest, and the syllabus order the third: the book follows the course instead of fighting it.

Who This Book Is For

It is for A1 and A2 learners in courses and self-study, A2 examination candidates, teachers of beginner classes, and intermediate learners repairing elementary gaps.

How to Use This Book

Practise little and often — one topic’s full exercise set beats a weekend of skimming. Always check solutions immediately and rework each error by saying the correct sentence aloud; the ear files what the eye forgives. Before an examination, run the book’s later sections as a mock diagnostic and revise only what failed.
